Trading is where squishy collecting turns social. It's also where most bad experiences happen, almost always because of one thing: undisclosed condition.
Disclose everything
Photograph the piece in natural light from multiple angles, including any crease, tear, yellowing or paint loss. Say whether it has been squeezed and how the rise currently performs.
A well-documented used piece trades faster than a vague 'like new' listing.
Valuing a trade
Rarity tier, condition and completeness of packaging drive value, roughly in that order. Two commons rarely equal one ultra rare, no matter how new they are.
- Agree on shipping split before confirming
- Ship in a rigid box, never a soft mailer โ foam takes a permanent crease under pressure
- Use tracked shipping on anything above a mystery box's value
- Walk away from pressure, edited photos or refusal to show flaws
